Susan Marie Baker, 76, of Muscatine, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Genesis Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023, at Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Susan Bantz will officiate. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.
Susan was born on December 25, 1946, in Muscatine, the daughter of Charles Beyrl and Phyllis “PJ” Kolmerer Smith. She married Larry Baker on September 21, 1989, in Muscatine. He preceded her in death on December 11, 2020.
Susan was a 1966 graduate of Wilton Junction. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and liked shopping. Susan had special friends that were like sisters to her.
She is survived by her stepson, Richard Christenson and his wife, Lisa Dietze-Christenson; grandchildren Demetri and Lexi; brother, Mike Smith and his wife, Norma; nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
Susan is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Larry; and her infant son.
