MO drought alert ends

Missouri Governor Mike Parson has ended Missouri’s drought alert based on the recommendation of the state Drought Assessment Committee. Drought conditions have improved across the state and during its February meeting, the committee decided it no longer needed to meet. It will now only meet if needed to provide additional support if conditions change.

The latest U.S. Drought Monitor shows less than 10% of Missouri experiencing dry conditions, a significant improvement from the start of February when more than half the state was still experiencing dryness.
