Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook for the likelihood of hotter-than-normal weather nationwide, except for near- or below-normal temperatures in the Pacific Northwest and portions of the southern Atlantic States.
Meanwhile, wetter-than-normal conditions in Washington, the southern Atlantic region, and an area stretching from the Four Corners region to eastern Montana should contrast with near- or below-normal rainfall across the remainder of the U.S.
