Collaboration to address food security

A recent report from the United Nations shows a dismal picture when it comes to food security.  In 2021 global hunger numbers rose to as many as 828 million people in 2021.  That’s an increase of about 46 million people since 2020 and a rise of 150 million since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Leaders in the US Meat Industry have agreed to collaborate to address domestic food security issues.  The effort designates food security as a non-competitive issue, helping to strengthen industry-wide efforts to end hunger.
