96% of South Dakota corn, 82% of soybeans emerged

The USDA says South Dakota farmers have completed their intended plantings.
Ninety-six percent of the state’s corn crop has emerged, compared to 97 percent last year. Seventy-nine percent of the crop is rated good to excellent.
Soybeans planted was near 100 percent last year with 82 percent of the crop emerged.
Seventy-six percent of the state’s winter wheat crop is headed. Spring wheat is 15 percent headed.
Topsoil and subsoil moisture supplies were rated 61 and 62 percent adequate, respectively.
