February another strong month for ethanol exports

U.S. ethanol exports had another strong month in February.

The Renewable Fuels Association says exports grew 16 percent on the month and 41 percent compared to a year ago at 143.1 million gallons.

Undenatured fuel ethanol exports were at two-year highs, with records set in South Korea and Singapore.

Imports by India represented the highest volumes in five years.

Canada remained the top destination for U.S. ethanol for the 11th straight month, taking in 31 million gallons.

But RFA points out China has been absent from the biofuel export market for nine straight months.

The U.S. did not log any ethanol imports in February after importing more than 10 million gallons the month before.

Exports of U.S. Dried Distillers Grains scaled back 20 percent in February to 870,000, the lowest volume in five months.
