Milder days, A “January Thaw” ahead for much of the Plains
Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures nationwide, except for colder-than-normal conditions from portions of the Great Lakes region into the middle and northern Atlantic States.
Meanwhile, near- or below-normal precipitation from the Pacific Coast to the northern and central Plains, Midwest, and Northeast should contrast with wetter-than-normal weather across the South.
