Dolores was born on June 21, 1963, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Pablo Mesa and Eva Mireles. She married Victoriano Zamudio on December 8, 1995, in Muscatine. He preceded her in death on May 20, 2021.

Dolores had many loves in her life, the biggest ones were her children and family. She was the best mother anyone could be blessed with. The best mother, daughter, sister and friend. Dolores definitely loved making memories and new traditions with her grandchildren.

She was a die-hard Cowboy fan. Her favorite flowers were sunflowers. Dolores loved gardening, shopping, and fishing. Her ultimate love of hobbies was raising her birds, they were her joy.

Dolores was a shoulder you could lean and cry on, a partner in crime, someone you could count on, and the hug you needed to feel to lift your spirits. She was a second mom to some. Dolores was the perfect best friend that anyone could ever have.

You will be missed but never forgotten Mom. Fly high with your birds, fish with Victor, eat with Carlos, and hug your brothers. Live free. Not a goodbye, we will see you again. We love you Mom, always and forever.

She is survived by her children, Juan Solis, Veronica Madrid, Daniel Solis, Dolores McKim and husband, Mike, Victor Zamudio Jr. and wife, Haley, and Evita Zamudio; 18 grandchildren; her mother and stepfather, Eva and Nazario Valenzuela; five siblings, Velma Jaramillo and Domingo, Linda Zamudio and Socorro, Eddie Mesa and Andie McKiddie, Pedro Mesa, and Samuel Mesa and Martha; and many nieces and nephews.

Dolores is preceded in death by her father, Pablo; her husband, Victor; three brothers, Pablo Mesa Jr., Antonio Mesa, and Robert Mesa; and son-in-law, Fernando Madrid.
