Paul Mugge grows organic corn, soybeans, small grains, and alfalfa in O’Brien County and spoke to Brownfield Monday during the Iowa Organic Conference in Iowa City.
“It was very dry, but we had tremendous yields, especially for soybeans. Maybe one of the best years I’ve ever had for soybeans, and nobody really saw this coming.”
He attributes the bumper crop to good genetics and a few timely rains.
