Technical assistance funds for underserved farmers

The USDA says it’s giving $75 Million dollars to 20 organizations to help connect underserved producers to USDA programs and services.

Ag Secretary Vilsack says the funds are from the American Rescue Plan funding and are an important first step by providing technical assistance to groups including the National Black Farmers Association, the Intertribal Agriculture Council and the Farmer Veteran Coalition.

He says the American Rescue Plan gives more than $1 Billion dollars to USDA to ensure underserved communities have tools, programs and support they need to succeed.
