Bayer no longer attending large ag shows in 2020

The Crop Science Division of Bayer has announced the company will not attend any large ag shows, fairs, or other gatherings for the remainder of the year to prioritize customer health and safety.

In a statement provided to Brownfield, a Bayer official says they will not attend a gathering of more than 12 people, internal or external, to lower the risk of employee and customer exposure to COVID-19.

Under this approach, Bayer will not be attending the 2020 Farm Progress Show. Lisa Safarian, President of Bayer Crop Science North America, says they value time spent with customers, but with the potential health risks, there are better ways to engage with customers and minimize that risk for everyone.

Bayer is focused on new ways of sharing information normally provided at large events, including online field days and agronomy webinars. Safarian says they fully expect to be back at farm shows in 2021.
