Shirley Ann Burr, 90, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Lutheran Living.
Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Private burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Muscatine Humane Society. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com.
Shirley was born on March 16, 1934, in Muscatine, the daughter of Adolph and Hulda Schroeder Martz. She married Clifford Burr on September 27, 1953, in Muscatine, Iowa.
She was a secretary for Central State Bank, a member of the Moose Lodge, Jolly Birthday Club, a lifetime member!, Class of the ‘52ers, and enjoyed being a member of the Sweetland United Methodist Church, and the UMW.
Shirley enjoyed the farm life, counting cross stitch, embroidery, quilting, sewing, and reading. Shirley loved animals, adored her grandchildren, and was the world’s best mother-in-law.
Shirley is survived by her children, Joan Dietrich and husband, Alek, Linda Kujawa and husband, John, and Brian Burr and wife, Cynthia; six grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Following her Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m., there will be a Celebration of Life at the American Legion at 11:30 a.m.
