Online auction of surplus items runs December 16-30

(City of Muscatine)

The City of Muscatine and the Department of Public Works (DPW) will conduct an online public surplus auction December 16-30. The items for bid contain a variety of items that were declared surplus by the Muscatine City Council on December 5.

All items are available to bid on through the auction web site www.publicsurplus.comstarting December 16, and running through 3 p.m. on December 30. Potential bidders can go to that website, search for Iowa, and then City of Muscatine for the auction items. You must register to view the listed items and to bid on the items.

Some of the items on the auction block are:

  • 2 benches from the library.
  • Coffee table from the library.
  • Round wooden table from the library.
  • Long couch from the library.
  • 1 table and 5 chairs from the library.
  • Large conference table and 8 chairs from the library.
  • 2 benches and 2 tables from the library.
  • Large rectangular table with 2 cutouts in the top from the library.
  • 2 benches, one low back and one high back.
  • 2 benches with backs.
  • 2 step seat and 2 poofs from the library.
  • 6 Nook readers with USB cables and power adapters.
  • 2010 Chevrolet Impala from the Police Department.
  • Crack filling machine from Roadway Maintenance.
  • Toro Workman utility vehicle from the Parks Department, originally Cemetery.
  • 2 benches and a table from the library.
  • 1 chair with arms from the library.
  • 8 office chairs from the library.
