UnityPoint at Home Hospice to present ‘Grief and the Holidays’ workshop

UnityPoint at Home Hospice is set to present a workshop entitled “Grief and the Holidays” at Musser Public Library on Wednesday, November 20, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. The workshop is free and open to the public.

Registration is required by November 15 by calling 309-207-0772 or emailing cynthia.keller@unitypoint.org. 

The Grief and The Holidays workshop aims to help participants address the following:
  • Why and how grief feels heavier during the holidays.
  • Ways to prepare and care for themselves during these months.
  • Considering ways to honor loved ones who have passed and to adapt, change or create new traditions.
  • The workshop also includes a social component with a hot chocolate bar and a simple ornament craft which has a memorial component.

In addition to the November 20 event, UnityPoint at Home Hospice offers an ongoing grief support group which meets on the first Friday of every month from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. in the first floor of Musser Public Library.
