Lower boat launch, parking area closed to public Tuesday

The boat launch and parking lot downriver of the Iowa Avenue entrance to Riverside Park will be closed on Tuesday, October 1, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. due to the arrival of American Symphony, one of three cruise ships owned by the American Cruise Lines. The parking lot will be closed to allow American Cruise Line buses to pick up passengers as they depart the ship to visit various destinations in Muscatine.

The American Symphony will be arriving at approximately 10 p.m. on Monday with passengers disembarking to explore Muscatine from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The cruise ship is scheduled to depart Muscatine at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Once the ship leaves the Port of Muscatine, the parking area will be opened for public use.
