Junior Achievement of the Heartland is thrilled to announce the sixth annual Boos & Bites event, a unique celebration in support of financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship learning experiences offered in local schools.

This exciting event invites guests to indulge in delectable “bites” and specialty “boos” from the Muscatine area’s finest restaurants, wineries, and breweries. This year is extra special as Junior Achievement of the Heartland is celebrating its 40th anniversary in the Muscatine area! It all begins on Thursday, October 24, at 5:30 p.m. at The Merrill Hotel. Tickets are $30 per person and are available at heartland.ja.org

Sample mouthwatering dishes and drinks from local vendors such as Hy-Vee, Geo Johnz, and Maxwell’s on the River, enjoy live music throughout the evening, and emcee stylings from Tony Tone, bid on exclusive items to support JA’s mission, and engage in the wine pull and bourbon raffle if you are 21+.

“We invite the community to join us in supporting Junior Achievement,” said Kyle Fintel, VP of Procurement at Kent Corporation and Board Chair of JA of the Heartland. “This school year, over 6,000 K-12 grade students in Muscatine, Louisa, and surrounding counties will benefit from JA programs. Proceeds from this event will directly contribute to covering the cost of these essential educational initiatives.”

Presented by CBI Bank & Trust, recognizing the importance of empowering our youth with financial knowledge and skills. Don’t miss this scarily fun evening! Let’s come together on this 40th anniversary to make a difference in our local schools!
