Muscatine High School is pleased to announce the hiring of Jenni Franklin as the next Muskie Cheerleading Head Coach. Melea Ash has also been hired as Assistant Cheer Coach for the Muskies.
“I’m looking forward to expanding on the great foundation our of Muskie Cheerleading team,” says Jenni Franklin. “I remember attending my first Little Muskie Cheer Clinic in the 80’s, and I knew cheerleaders were important. This is the year to really bring back the spirit of cheerleading, show up for all of our athletes and to as many events as we can, and really rally that Muskie spirit out of the people in the stands.”
Jenni Franklin graduated from Muscatine High School in 1997 and went on to dance for and graduate from Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL. After graduation, she moved West and worked as a communications consultant, became a published wedding and event photographer, and became a hip-hop dance Instructor. She has been involved with cheer and dance since 1995.
“We are fortunate to have Jenni join the Muskie Team,” says Mike Henson, Activities Director at MHS. Her experience and enthusiasm are a welcome addition to the cheer team and Muskie Nation as a whole.”
