Muscatine High School is pleased to announce the hiring of Cruz Vasquez as the next Muskie Girls’ Basketball Head Coach. Cruz recently served as the Muskies’ assistant coach and Head Coach of the JV team.
“I’m very excited for the opportunity to coach this group of girls.” says Cruz Vasquez. “I look forward to building off of last year’s success and continuing to grow girls basketball here in Muscatine.”
Cruz Vasquez grew up in Muscatine and has been part of Muscatine HS basketball for several years. He has coached in both the youth boys and girls feeder programs along with being a Varsity assistant coach the last two seasons and the Junior Varsity head coach last season.
“We are very excited to have Coach Vasuez take over the lead of our Girls Basketball Program, ”says Mike Henson, Activities Director at MHS. “The future of Girls Basketball looks bright with Coach Vasuez at the helm.”
