It has been quite a long wait but the much-anticipated opening of the splash pad at Taylor Park for the 2024 season is officially here. The opening was delayed due to the construction of the restroom facility at Taylor Park. The restroom facility is tentatively scheduled to open on Friday pending completion of some interior work.
And the opening is just in time for some relief from the high temperatures forecasted for this week.
Park hours are 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. and there is no facility supervision. Parents are responsible for supervising their children.

The Mississippi Mist splash pad will remain closed this year pending DNR approval of and implementation of improvements to the fountain.
Don’t forget about the Aquatic Center for even more wet fun this summer. The Aquatic Center, located in Weed Park, is open 12-8 p.m. on days of operation, weather permitting.
