The Muscatine Community School District Food & Nutrition Department will begin its Free Summer Meals program tomorrow at Muscatine High School.
Meals will be available for pickup each Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the high school through July 31. Signs will be placed indicating motorists on where to have their meals loaded.
An estimated 1,500 children ages 1-18 have already signed up to receive meals, which is an increase from last year’s program.
The program is funded via the USDA but is only possible thanks to the incredible food & nutrition department and its staff.
