Muscatine High Schoo hosted the softball field grand opening on Monday afternoon.

The event included a press box dedication in honor of longtime former Muskie Softball Coach Denny Schuur, a ribbon-cutting with the Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and a first pitch thrown out by former longtime assistant Coach Lory Aguero.

Muskie softball has had less than six losing seasons out of 40. This includes back-to-back third-place finishes at the state tournament. This stadium is long overdue for a program with such success (including several athletes playing in college).
