Ralph Reid

Ralph Reid, 77, formerly of Letts, Iowa, passed away on Sunday May 5, 2024, at the care center in Yuma, AZ.


Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home, 1931 Houser Street, Muscatine, IA. David Foster will officiate. Burial will be in Columbus City Cemetery.


Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Church of Christ or the charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com.


Ralph was born on June 9, 1946, in Letts, IA, the son of Virgil and Vera Reid. Ralph later married Connie Morris in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.


Ralph enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, camping, and playing cards. He has lived in Missouri, Tennessee, Wyoming, Colorado, and then in Arizona. He farmed and worked driving heavy equipment.


He will be deeply missed by his wife, Connie of Yuma, AZ, and sisters, Irene Smith and Illa Trumbull of Muscatine, IA.


Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Virginia Pendell, Erline Adkins, Wilma Bixby and Mary Lavon Sivertsen; one brother Wilber Reid.
