The 2023 – 2024 Leadership Muscatine class concluded their experience April 25, 2024 at Geneva Golf & Country Club. This distinguished leadership program co-sponsored by Muscatine Chamber of Commerce & Muscatine Community College continues to be a staple in the business community year after year.

Leadership Muscatine requires a serious time commitment with participants attending 13 sessions over the course of 8 months, which also includes involvement with a community project in order to complete the program. Andrew Temple, graduate of this year’s class stated “I really appreciate all you put into this program it has been super educational, useful and as a life-long resident I learned that I do not know everything about Muscatine.”

Participants from various companies, whether they’re a young professional or well into their professional career, all benefit from this effective and proven program. Individuals invested in bettering the future of Muscatine, are looking to establish deeper roots in the community, and advance themselves professionally and personally are great candidates for the program.

Five group projects and five individual projects were presented at the graduation ceremony on Thursday evening. Project topics included: producing a childcare shortage video to share with legislators, assisting/fundraising for Sleep in Heavenly Peace, exploring transportation options for low/mid income preteens, growing the Muscatine Veteran’s Network, slowing down the Pine Creek Grist Mill, educating newcomers about our community in a fresh new way, connecting 4H Clover Buds’ artwork for display at Art Center, working with Project Search to employ individuals with disabilities, establishing a wellness fair for students, and installing security cameras in City parks.

Thank you to our area employers for their continued support of Leadership Muscatine and congratulations Class of 2024! We thank you for your hard work and dedication and look forward to your future involvement in making Muscatine a great play to live, work & play!
