Across the Corn Belt, dry weather accompanies a warming trend. Friday’s Midwestern high temperatures will range from near 35°F in the Red River Valley of the North to 70°F or higher in parts of the southern Corn Belt. Despite recent wintry precipitation in the upper Midwest, some season-to-date snowfall totals remain less than 50% of average.
On the Plains, temperatures have rapidly rebounded to above-normal levels across the southeastern half of the region, with Friday’s high temperatures expected to top 80°F in western Texas.
