Living Muscatine invites newcomers to connect, explore community

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Are you new to Muscatine and eager to immerse yourself in the community that surrounds you? Look no further than the Live Muscatine orientation. This welcoming gathering offers newcomers the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow residents and uncover the hidden gems that make Muscatine truly special.

The orientation will be held from 12-1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, in the Howe Conference Room at The Muscatine Community YMCA. Attendees will be treated to a light meal, fostering an atmosphere of warmth as they embark on their journey to become integral parts of the community.

“Transitioning to a new city involves more than just finding a place to live and going about your daily routines,” Megan Francis, a member of the Live Muscatine committee, said. “It’s about embracing the community, understanding its history, and tapping into resources available. With Live Muscatine, we aim to provide newcomers with the tools and knowledge they need to truly make Muscatine their home.”

Attendees can expect an interactive presentation where they can engage with fellow newcomers, share experiences, and learn from community leaders. From historical nuggets to practical tips on navigating city services, the Live Muscatine orientation promises to be an enriching experience for all.
