Work resumes on West Hill Sewer Project today

(City of Muscatine)

MUSCATINE, Iowa – The winter break is over for one construction project in Muscatine as work resumes in Phase 6 A & B of the West Hill Sanitary and Storm Sewer Separation Project. Prime Contractor KE Flatworks, Inc., of Elbridge, Iowa, will be on site Monday to begin prepping Sycamore Street for paving from the 10th Street intersection to just short of the 11th Street intersection.

No parking in the 1000 block of Sycamore will be implemented starting at 7 a.m. Wednesday. Residents will be able to access their driveways until paving begins as early as Wednesday, weather permitting. Paving on the curb and gutter, driving lanes, and driveways and sidewalks is expected to take at least four weeks.

Once completed, Sycamore Street and the intersection with 10th Street will be open to traffic. Underground work in the 1100 block of Sycamore is expected to begin in April.
