Soybeans were mixed, with most contracts still able to hold onto part of the early gains but closing well below the highs. Domestic crush demand continues to be strong, canceling out some of the concerns about slow exports. U.S. export sales last week were 13.8 million bushels, down on the week, but up from the four-week average, mainly to China and Germany, but with a significant cancelation by unknown destinations. Heavy rain in parts of South America could delay harvest activity or cause some damage in southern Brazil and northeastern Argentina.
