Steven Lee Kinyon, 72, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on February 25, 2024.
A memorial service to celebrate Steven’s life will be held at the Muscatine Church of Christ on Saturday March 2nd at 11:00 a.m., where friends and family can pay their respects and share cherished memories. Steven was born on February 8, 1952, the son of Donald and Nedra (Harris) Kinyon.
He dedicated over 30 years of his life to Monsanto, where his dedication and hard work left an indelible mark.
In his younger years, Steven found joy in the simplicity of life, relishing in hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors. He had a passion for motorcycles and muscle cars, embodying the spirit of adventure.
Above all, Steven cherished his family and held a steadfast faith in God. Following in his father’s footsteps, he was an active member of the Muscatine Church of Christ since his marriage to Laura in December of 1978. His legacy of love, faith, and devotion will forever be remembered by those who knew him.
Steven is survived by his loving wife, Laura Kinyon, his devoted children: Steven Kinyon (Heather) of Springdale, Arkansas, Philip Kinyon of Muscatine, Leah Yancey (Chris) of Chocorua New Hampshire, and Samuel Kinyon of Muscatine; his brother, John Kinyon of Omaha Nebraska, and sister, Pamela Lake of Noblesville Indiana; his eight grandchildren: Kendra, Avielle, Orrin, Charlie, Henry, Audrey, Noah, and Ella
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nedra Kinyon and Donald Kinyon.
