A northeast Nebraska farmer says he’s eager to start planting his 2024 crop.
Ed Lammers raises corn, soybeans, alfalfa, rye, and cattle near Hartington. “I don’t know if we’re going to vary much,” he said. “Right now we’re just doing maintenance on equipment that needs to be fixed for the springtime rush.”
He tells Brownfield he’s making a slight change this year. “We’re looking into raising some cover crop seed,” Lammers said.
