City of Muscatine offices will be closed on Monday (Jan. 1, 2024) in observance of the New Year’s Day holiday. All offices will reopen for regular hours on Tuesday (Jan. 2, 2024).
NO MUSCABUS MONDAY

REFUSE & RECYCLING COLLECTION
There will be no refuse or recycling collections on Monday (Jan. 1, 2024), and no Bulky Waste or Yard Waste collections on Monday or Tuesday (Jan. 2-3, 2024).
Residents on the Monday refuse route will have their containers emptied on Tuesday along with residents on the regular Tuesday route.
Recycling collection will run a day late all week. Residents on the Monday route will have their container emptied on Tuesday (Jan. 2), Tuesday route will be collected Wednesday, Wednesday on Thursday, Thursday on Friday, and Friday on Saturday.
The Muscatine Transfer Station will be closed on Monday (Jan. 1, 2024). The facility will resume normal hours of operation on Tuesday (Jan. 2, 2024). Transfer Station hours are Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. with the last load on the scale at 3:15 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m.-12 p.m. with the last load on the scale at 11:45 a.m.

MUSSER LIBRARY HOURS
The Musser Public Library and HNI Community Center will be closed on Monday (Jan. 1, 2024). The library will resume normal hours on Tuesday (Jan. 2, 2024). MUSCATINE ART CENTER HOURS
The Muscatine Art Center will be closed on Sunday (Dec. 31, 2023), and Monday (Jan. 1, 2024). The Art Center will resume normal hours of operation on Tuesday (Jan. 2, 2024). Normal hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Thursday 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 1-5 p.m.). The Art Center is normally closed to the public on Mondays. MUSCATINE FIRE AND POLICE
The Muscatine Fire Department and Muscatine Police Department will be staffed, and the Department of Public Works will have staff on-call. For non-emergency issues during City office closures, please call 563-264-1550, Public Safety at 563-263-9922, or Public Works at 563-263-8933. In the case of an emergency, always call 911.
MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE
The Muscatine Municipal Golf Course is closed for the season. The Clubhouse and Pro Shop will be closed Saturday (Jan. 1, 2022). Both will resume winter hours of operation on Thursday (Jan. 4, 2022). Winter hours are: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Mondays; 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Thursdays, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Fridays, and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturdays. The Clubhouse and Pro Shop are closed on Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Reservations for the Simulator may be made by calling the Pro Shop at (563) 263-4735. CITY RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
All City of Muscatine parks, including the Muscatine Dog Park, Muscatine Pollinator Park, and the Muscatine Trail System, will be available for the public’s use, weather permitting. The public is urged to use caution while enjoying City of Muscatine recreational opportunities.
