U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley says Congress needs to focus on legislative measures in the coming year that would reverse the effects of California’s Proposition 12 law.
“We’re learning that California is taking a very aggressive movement against animal agriculture and that’s going to obviously be detrimental to what we’re trying to accomplish here.”
Proposition 12 bans the sale of pork, veal, and eggs in California from animals anywhere in the country whose confinement does not meet minimum space requirements.
