Thanksgiving message to the citizens of Muscatine from Mayor Brad Bark

Dear Friends,

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude and appreciation for each and every one of you. May this amazing day serve as an opportunity to reflect upon our blessings, to come together as families, friends, and neighbors, to share a meal, and to cherish the moments of connection that remind us of the strength of our community.

Thanksgiving is a day to celebrate and be thankful for the men and women who keep our community, state, and nation safe. I am very thankful for our city employees and partners for their outstanding work throughout our community in fulfilling our shared vision of creating a vibrant, safe, and sustainable community.

I am also thankful for the countless acts of kindness and generosity I have witnessed throughout our community. From neighbors helping neighbors, to small businesses supporting one another. Let us take this opportunity to remember those who may be in need for someone to lean on after losing a friend and/or family member.

On behalf of the entire City Council, City Administration, and City Staff, I wish you and your loved ones a joyous and safe Thanksgiving. May it be filled with love, warmth, and cherished memories.

God Bless and Be Your Best!!!
