Soybean, corn gains fueled by Brazil weather concerns

Soybeans were sharply higher on commercial and technical buying. Weather remains mixed in Brazil, too dry in some areas, too wet in others, with the possibility of significant replanting. AgRural lowered its outlook for Brazil’s bean crop to 163.5 million tons, citing the weather. Stateside, the USDA says 95% of U.S. soybeans are harvested, compared to 96% last year and the five-year average of 91%. China bought 204,000 tons of 2023/24 U.S. beans for delivery this marketing year.
