MO corn, soybean and cotton harvest close to finish line

Missouri’s corn, cotton and soybean harvest are getting closer to completion.

USDA says 94% of Missouri’s corn is harvested, soybean harvest is 91% complete and cotton harvest is 93% complete, all ahead of average.

Winter wheat plantings in Missouri are at 85% complete with 65% of the crop emerged and conditions rated 65% good to excellent.

Dry conditions are lingering into late fall with less than 50% of topsoil moisture rated adequate and the majority of subsoil moisture at 60% short to very short.
