Keith E. Allchin, 64, passed away peacefully from inoperable cancer at Premier Estates on November 7, 2023.
Keith is survived by his mother, Shirley Allchin of Muscatine, IA and siblings; Steve (Cindy) Allchin of Iowa, Terri (Rick) Shackle of Arizona, and Kevin Allchin of Iowa, Nieces and Nephews; Tyson (Summer) Allchin family of Iowa, Nichole (Brandon) Powell family of Iowa, and Danah (Chris) Kleppe of Iowa, Sean Allchin of Iowa, Connor Allchin of Iowa, Jay South Carolina, and Cory Shackle of South Carolina. He is preceded in death by father, Marlin Allchin, of Muscatine and sibling, Tammy Allchin of Montpelier, IA.
Keith was born on April 27,1959 in Scott County, IA to Marlin and Shirley Allchin. Keith held education as a vital part of his life, graduating from Muscatine High School, Muscatine Community College, Iowa Wesleyan College, and National Louis University with an emphasis on Social Work and Public Policy Endeavors. Keith split most of his adult occupational career with the Iowa Department of Human Services, as well as excelling in the Food and Beverage Industries primarily in Philadelphia, Chicago, and Quad Cities Areas.
Keith expressed gratitude for those friends and relatives who were part of his extraordinary life journey, those there through both good and struggling times in his life. He was dedicated to helping others and hopes this will be continued by those who cared for him. Memorials may be given to MCSA of Muscatine, Iowa City Hospice of Iowa City, or any other non-profit organization of your personal choice.
Keith stressed his gratitude to Premier Estates and Iowa City Hospice Team for their invaluable service to his thought and needs while ill.
There will be no services per Mr. Allchin’s wishes. Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
