A farmer in southern Minnesota plans to store the bulk of this year’s crop.
Tim Waibel of Courtland says he has shares in a local ethanol plant so he’ll be delivering some corn there this fall.
“That takes a portion of our corn production. I’m sitting a little tight, maybe tighter than I should’ve, but we’ve got a lot of storage capacity and the ability to rent a couple bins from a neighbor that are nice easy bins to get in and access.”
He tells Brownfield there could be some “bonus bushels” of corn.
