Sorghum harvest starting soon

A farmer in central South Dakota says grain sorghum harvest will begin in a few days and that’s about two weeks ahead of normal.

Adam Schindler says milo is drying down well.

“We’re going to take a decent percentage of sorghum acres a little wetter so we can plant some winter wheat in that stubble and to help us with harvest management.”

Schindler tells Brownfield he’s expecting a decent milo harvest for central South Dakota.
