A lot of harvest activity in southwest Minnesota

Harvest activity is picking up in southwest Minnesota.

Carolyn Olson farms near Cottonwood and says she recently returned from a week-long trip to Washington, D.C.

“Having been gone for a week, I don’t know exactly what the pace has been (but there’s a lot of harvesting being done). We’re watching our soybeans mature rapidly, and our corn fields are drying down quickly as well.”

Olson, the vice president of Minnesota Farm Bureau, tells Brownfield they’re not looking at a bumper crop.
