Input supply prices resetting for fall

An input supplier says the ag product supply chain appears to be much more reliable heading into the fall.

Scott DeVuyst is with Nutrien Ag Solutions. “We’re in a much better position,” he shares.  “We’ve had some pricing resets on a few key inputs and I think overall we’ll see some inflationary cost go up, but nothing out of the realm. With the offsets that we have on other ones, I think inputs will be well within reason for 2024.”

He tells Brownfield, “Growers who put on fall anhydrous, like in the ‘I’ states, they’re actually may be down 50 percent of the cost.” “It’s now firming up and that’s coming back around, but they’ve come down.
