71 percent of Kentucky corn, 72 percent of soybeans rated good to excellent

The USDA says farmers saw above normal temperatures and rainfall last week in Kentucky.

Corn is rated 71 percent good to excellent with 83 percent in the dough stage, 65 percent dented, and 29 percent mature. 

Soybeans are rated 72 percent good to excellent with 92 percent blooming, 80 percent setting pods, and 20 percent coloring. 

Tobacco set is rated 71 percent good to excellent with 94 percent blooming, 82 percent topped, and 29 percent cut. 

Pastures are rated 62% good to excellent. 

Topsoil is rated 68 percent and subsoil is rated 72 percent adequate to surplus.
