Planting wraps up for NE Ohio farmer

Planting season is wrapping up for Northeast Ohio farmer Jeff Magyar.

He tells Brownfield it has been far from perfect. “Corn and beans planted in the last week, they’re going to be struggling, if there’s even enough moisture to get it germinated,” he says. “We’re always too wet in the northeast corner of the state, but this year we have had half an inch of rain in May, which is totally not our normal.”

Magyar says emergence has been good on everything that has been planted up until last week.
