$13 million in grants announced for cover crop technical assistance

Farmers adopting cover crops through the Farmers for Soil Health Program will now receive in-depth technical assistance thanks to $13.6 million in grants offered by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.

The grants are part of the USDA’s Partnerships for Climate Smart Commodities program and will allow cover crop adopters in 19 states the opportunity for personal guidance from regional crop advisors on selecting and managing cover crops that provide the most soil health benefits and value to their operation.
