Rain in Nebraska helps alleviate some drought conditions

Northeast Nebraska farmer Debbie Borg has almost wrapped up planting and says recent moisture came at just the right time.

“The rain is just so appreciative. We’re obviously not out of the drought, there’s not much sub soil moisture in our area at all, but two inches of rain is going to go a long ways.”

She tells Brownfield conservation practices like no-till farming have helped preserve soil moisture and avoid massive erosion.
