Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of below-normal temperatures across much of the South, East, and lower Midwest, while warmer-than-normal weather will prevail in coastal New England, southern Florida, and areas along and west of a line from Arizona to Lake Superior.
Meanwhile, below-normal precipitation in much of the North, Midwest, and mid-South should contrast with wetter-than-normal conditions across the lower Southeast and from California to the central and southern High Plains.
