Minnesota farmer pleased with her “magic beans”

A farmer in south-central Minnesota is calling her soybeans “magic beans” after winter-like conditions lingered through much of April.

Rochelle Krusemark of Trimont says her family began planting soybeans in mid-April.

“And then we got that snow and rain, then about ten days later we got back in.”

She tells Brownfield those soybeans are close to emerging and look very good.

“We call soybeans the magic beans for several reasons, because they are very resilient and there’s a lot of uses for the soybean.
