
U.S. Congresswoman Ashley Hinson says the 2023 Farm Bill should include additional resources for foreign animal disease preparedness.
“Animal health and resiliency is something I continue to hear about from our producers across the state,” Hinson said Thursday.
She tells Brownfield the industry is concerned about, “Bio-health and bioterrorism. We have seen what can happen with a virus moving very quickly in the animal health space.”
Hinson says a detection of a disease like African swine fever could be detrimental to the U.S.
