Minnesota farmer starting with soybeans

Planting is underway for a farmer in central Minnesota.

Pat Sullivan of Franklin tells Brownfield he planted about 160 acres of soybeans Thursday.

“You know that first start up day can be a long day, but we think we’ve got things working. So looking forward to maybe getting some corn in the ground, and maybe some beets here pretty soon.”

He says they’ve stopped planting because of light rain but the forecast is encouraging.
