Back to planting for Northeast Iowa corn farmer

Northeast Iowa farmer Bob Hemesath says conditions have improved enough to resume planting.

“It got warm there right around that Easter time, and the week after that we got most of our anhydrous on, got a lot of prep work done, and actually planted some corn that week. And then since then it’s been cold, snow, rain, kind of now warming up again.”

Speaking to Brownfield while planting Thursday afternoon, he said the corn planted April 14th looks okay.
