Rain across parts of Nebraska brought relief to drought, but slowed planting for many farmers last week.
The USDA says 10 percent of the corn crop is in and 4 percent of soybeans have been planted – both 1 percent behind last year.
Winter wheat condition is rated 42 percent poor-to-very poor with only 21 percent rated good-to-excellent.
Topsoil moisture is rated 29 percent adequate with no surplus and subsoil moisture is 21 percent adequate with no surplus.
