Planted fields less common in northwest Ohio

A representative with Helena Agri-Enterprises says fieldwork is full-speed ahead in northwest Ohio, but planted fields aren’t as common.

Aaron Siebeneck tells Brownfield there is a significant number of farmers making fertilizer applications, spraying and working ground.

“The short-term forecast here is looking a little cool and wet, so a lot of guys with heavier clay soil have been holding off on planting. You get in several other areas though there are acres getting planted at this time.”

But he says, it’s still early.
